And so that day dawned. The sun was hidden behind the clouds but was nevertheless present.
The wind buffeted, the cloud sang of future rain, the grumbles of earlier risers signaling in the dawn.
In other words, it was just another day.
Nevertheless, I put a bit of significance on today. Today I am not grumbling as I wake. I am alert, ready and active.
So what if its not sunny (This IS the northwest afterall), so what if it could rain. Today I am alive and today I am seeing something that has taken near close to 7 years.
Today I am out of the Navy.
Now don't get me wrong. The Navy isn't bad. Due to the time I have spent in service to the country I have had a lovely chance to develop myself as a photographer and a person. I've made mistakes, I've made great decisions. I've saved money, I've gained the funds for college I would have otherwise never had.
But the Navy isn't for me. Will I see the issues that haunt the Navy in the Civilian sector? Without a doubt I will. But I enjoy the freedom that I will have being one once more.
Life has its troubles, but today… I am free.

Life in the Norm
Well its been a wee bit too long since I last posted so I figure now would be as good a time as any.
First off, I have settled well into my life here in Oak Harbor, WA. It's a small community, relaxed and postive outlook of life. While I was expecting a little stronger military rooting in the community, it doesn't seem to have that underooting as much as I feared. I pitch that to the Washington State independence and spirit. I kind of like it.
My work job is nothing difficult. I shoot award photos, go about and shoot independent photos here and there, ride a bicycle to work due to the growing gas prices, exercising a bit here
Return to the States
Welp, its been awhile all and I am back in the States now. In the lovely state of Washington and in a wonderful little island town called Oak Harbor.
I am still with the Navy and currently attached to an interesting little command called VAQ-129. They teach pilots of some such silly stuff. *Shrugs* I just shot the award photos. *Chuckles*
Anywho, I previously said I'd be out of the Navy in March of 2007 but the base closure (yes, the iceland base is closed now *sighs*) and my move here, I was forced to extend a little to the Nov 2007 timeframe.
In good news, I have my own place out in Oak Harbor now, which after a great clean of boxes
To Post or not to Post?
Was realizing I haven't posted in a bit here and wanted to post another image.
However, as I was about to post, I discover the User Submission Agreement has been updated. So having learned of all the legal issues and arguements going around DA all last year, I decided to give this form a quick lookie.
Ok...Were supposed to agree to this?
First off what ticks me off is the 1st clause, in which is says to terminate your services you have to send a letter in to the "company" DA. No biggie initially until I read further in around clause 3 that your art is still on the server even if removed from the visual area of your gallery until your te

and now for something completely different...
I stole this one from Shomia http://shomia.deviantart.com/ because it was so damn funny. :)
Go to your iTunes/media player/WinAmp and put it all on shuffle. Say the following questions aloud, and after each one press play. Use the song title as the answer to the question.
1. What do you think of me, iPod?
Bob Carlisle, "In the Hand of Jesus"
I guess this is a good thing. hehe
2. Will I have a happy life?
Red Hot Chili Peppers, "Scar Tissue"
...Oh dear. That does not bode well. *Makes notes to avoid scars if I can*
3. What do my friends really think of
